Every Nigerian are anxiously watching, as the NLC Strike 2018 saga unfolds nationwide, waiting curiously to know the outcome of National labour congress (NLC) strike.
The workers are demanding for an increase in their minimum wage of 18,000 to about 50,000. They have pledge not to partake in their daily working activities until their request is been granted.
A meeting was held with the minister of labour and employment Chris Ngige, in Abuja on Wednesday 26th October 2018.
The meeting proved abortive, they were not given their expected response.
Prior to that, NLC has directed its members to commence a nationwide NLC STRIKE 2018 today.
From the report gathered by Today news, Wabba said at a news conference in Abuja yesterday, Wednesday 26th of October 2018, that all private and public institutions, offices, banks, schools, public and private businesses, filling station, are to be shut down until further notice.

Chris Ngige, on his own part to curb the nationwide nlc strike 2018, told journalists that negotiations would commence by the tripartite committee in respect to the workers request, which is an increase in their minimum wage from 18,000naira to about 50,000naira.
The meeting would commence of the 4th of October 2018.
He went further by saying, that the national salaries, incomes and wages are been worked on, they should expect results before the October meeting. He added that a bill would have to go through the national assembly after approval by the federal executive council.
The petroleum and natural gas staff association of Nigeria, college of education academic staff union, national leadership of the judiciary staff union of Nigeria, has accepted to join the ongoing nationwide strike, if there request are not met.
Abia workers, has also accepted to partake in the ongoing strike.
ASSU(Academic staff union of universities), is yet to decide, the body is still waiting to consult with its leadership and trustees before joining the nlc Strike 2018 soon.
