Sultan of Sokoto has Declared Tuesday as Eid-el-Fitr

The Sakoto Sultan, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III has declared that Tuesday will be Eid-el-Fitr day and it will be the last day of Ramadan fasting. According to the sources, the sultan has announced the news of the new moon of Shawwal.

The good news has been spread out through the radio station and television quickly.

According to the sultan, the new moon has been also seen over places like Kebbi, Yobe, Borno, Lagos, and others. That means Nigeria will celebrate the Eid-el-Fitr with other countries in the Middle East and America.

They have stated that, in terms of Islamic law, today 29th day will be the last day of Ramadan for this year. With this step, we are into the next month of Shawwal of 1440AH.

He also tells us to all Muslim communities to be in peace and harmony and it would be better for the country.

The sultan also added that the news of the new moon has been sent from various Muslim leaders and organization throughout the country. He also added that that news has been completely verified by the authority of National Moon Sighting Committee.

The message is clear, we need to maintain harmony at every station of our life event. We should be spread the news of peace to everyone regardless of religious and cultural difference.

Our unity gets bigger with all Muslims as we will celebrate our biggest joyful day at the end of the 29th day of Ramadan.
