2027: Defence Ministry Welcomes Matawalle's Security Appointment in Tinubu Campaign Council

The Ministry of Defence has formally extended its congratulations following the appointment of the Minister of State for Defence, Chief Bello Matawalle, to a critical leadership position within the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 Presidential Campaign Council.

Matawalle was designated as the Deputy Director of Security and Intelligence I for the campaign council, a role positioned to oversee strategic security protocols, threat assessment, and intelligence coordination for the ruling party’s re-election campaign team.

According to official statements, the ministry highlighted Matawalle’s administrative experience and background in regional security management—garnered during his tenure as the Governor of Zamfara State and in his current ministerial role—as key assets that qualify him for the high-level party assignment.
