Tragedy in Abuja as Mother Allegedly Murders Newborn in Jabi

The peace of the Jabi axis of the Federal Capital Territory was shattered this week following the arrest of 27-year-old Precious Yohanna, who stands accused of the heinous act of terminating the life of her own newborn child. Preliminary reports suggest that law enforcement officers were alerted to the situation following the discovery of the infant's remains, prompting a swift response from the local division to secure the scene and initiate a forensic inquiry.

According to unconfirmed accounts from residents in the vicinity, the suspect had allegedly attempted to conceal the pregnancy prior to the event, leading to shock and disbelief among neighbors who described the incident as an aberration against societal norms. The police have maintained a tight cordon around the specific residence to ensure that all material evidence is preserved as they build their case against the suspect.

While the investigation is currently in its nascent stages, the FCT Police Command has assured the public that no stone will be left unturned. The suspect is reportedly undergoing interrogation at the command’s headquarters, where detectives are working to establish a timeline of events and identify any external factors that may have influenced such a harrowing decision.
