"Legitimate security-related engagements and acts of routine humanitarian compassion have sometimes been deliberately taken out of context and presented as evidence of illicit relationships," Buba stated.

He urged independent media outfits and civil society organizations to conduct rigorous verification of the controversial videos rather than blindly amplifying unverified digital propaganda designed to sway voters ahead of the upcoming Bauchi governorship race.
