Ogun Police Bust Mowe Baby Factory, Rescue Pregnant Victims and Children as Six Arrested

In a major breakthrough against child trafficking networks in Southwest Nigeria, officers of the Ogun State Police Command raided a residential facility in the Mowe axis of Obafemi Owode Local Government Area, dismantling an illegal baby factory syndicate. Allegedly operated under the guise of an uncompleted private residence, the facility was reportedly being used to harbour pregnant young women until delivery, after which newborn babies were illicitly commodified and sold to human trafficking networks.

According to preliminary statements from the state command, police operatives acted on actionable intelligence supplied by vigilant community members who noticed suspicious movements around the property. During the tactical operation, law enforcement officers safely rescued two pregnant women and four young children who were reportedly held under degrading and unhygienic conditions. Six suspects, including key orchestrators of the covert operation, were apprehended on-site and are currently undergoing intensive interrogation at the command headquarters.
