Police Nab 31-Year-Old Man in Adamawa for Alleged Cyberbullying of First-Class Monarch Daniel Samaila

In a decisive move to curb the rising tide of digital misconduct, the Adamawa State Police Command has arrested Buriba Israel, a 31-year-old resident of Jambutu, Yola South Local Government Area. The suspect was taken into custody following allegations of cyberbullying and criminal intimidation targeted at one of the state's most revered traditional rulers, the Hamman Bachama, His Royal Highness Daniel Shaga Samaila.

According to an official statement released on Friday by the spokesperson for the state police command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the arrest was the outcome of a targeted intelligence-led operation. The command condemned the systematic misuse of social media platforms to launch malicious attacks, noting that such acts pose a direct threat to public peace and the personal dignity of citizens.

The victim, Daniel Shaga Samaila, is a highly respected first-class monarch whose stool holds immense cultural, historical, and administrative significance in Adamawa State and the wider northeastern region.
