Stop Waiting, Start Building: Minister Urges Nigerian Youths to Leverage Federal Programmes for Economic Rebirth

In an impassioned address directed at the nation's burgeoning young population, the Federal Government has called on youths across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory to seize existing government initiatives designed to stimulate self-reliance, enterprise, and sustainable development. Speaking on the critical role of youth demographics in national resurgence, the Minister stressed that the difference between unrealised national ambition and transformative growth lies in deliberate, decisive action.

Emphasising that Nigeria's primary challenge has never been a deficit of raw talent or natural resources, the Minister observed that the country has often suffered from a hesitation to translate vision into structural reality. "Nigeria does not lack potential, but sometimes lacks the collective courage among young people to stop waiting and start building," the Minister declared, urging the youth to view national challenges as fertile ground for enterprise and institutional reform.

The Federal Government has rolled out a suite of targeted interventions spanning digital skill acquisition, agricultural support, small and medium enterprise credit facilities, and vocational training schemes. According to official briefings, these programmes aim to democratise economic access and buffer young innovators against the headwinds of prevailing macroeconomic adjustments.
