The military's dragnet extended deep into the southern region, targeting economic saboteurs and armed secessionist elements. In the South-South, troops of Operation DELTA SAFE dismantled three illegal refining sites in Rivers State, recovering an estimated 85,000 litres of illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil (AGO). In the South-East, the troops of Operation UDO KA raided suspected secessionist hideouts, clearing 11 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in the Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State and neutralizing imminent threats to commuters and security patrols.

Amidst these intense kinetic engagements, the military has also prioritized non-kinetic, civil-military cooperation. In Lagos, the Nigerian Navy commissioned a solar-powered water project for residents of Ward F2 in Surulere, aiming to foster goodwill and build community trust—a critical element in gathering human intelligence.

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, has commended the troops for their bravery and resilience, while stressing the indispensable role of inter-agency synergy and community participation.
