In a decisive move to bolster economic resilience and territorial security, the Adamawa State Executive Council, under the leadership of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved a sweeping ₦5.04 billion developmental war chest. The expansive fiscal intervention, ratified during the council’s 13th meeting at the Government House in Yola, cuts across critical sectors, including security, basic education, modern agriculture, and rural infrastructure.

Chief among the infrastructural allocations is a ₦1.75 billion contract dedicated to constructing ultra-modern office blocks for the Adamawa State Post-Primary Schools Management Board (PPSMB) in Yola. According to Leader Leneke, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, the initiative aims to phase out dilapidated colonial-era structures that have hindered administrative efficiency for decades. The contract, divided into four distinct lots, has been awarded to local contractors to spur domestic economic activity.

Furthermore, the education sector received an additional boost with the approval of ₦627.7 million for internal road networks, drainage systems, and culverts at the Mega Science and Technical Secondary School in Hong Local Government Area. This forms part of the administration's broader ambition to establish premier science and technical colleges across the state’s three senatorial districts, equipping the youth with competitive modern skills.
