Beyond classrooms and administrative blocks, the Fintiri administration is aggressively confronting the realities of food insecurity and climate vulnerability. The State Executive Council approved ₦2.19 billion for the procurement of 46,300 bags of assorted fertilizers to boost the state's dry-season farming initiative. This massive subsidy program is designed to insulate Adamawa's agrarian economy from the erratic weather patterns that have plagued traditional wet-season farming.

Complementing this agricultural buffer is an additional ₦78.95 million earmarked for the purchase of critical herbicides and pesticides. By securing these inputs, the state hopes to boost yields and guarantee steady food supplies for its growing population. However, these agricultural investments remain highly vulnerable to impending ecological hazards, prompting severe concern within the cabinet.

Acknowledging the impending ecological hazards predicted by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the council directed relevant agencies to intensify flood-sensitization drives. With communities along the banks of River Benue and River Gongola facing imminent flooding risks, the state is actively urging residents of riverine areas to relocate to higher ground before the seasonal deluge repeats the devastation seen in previous years.
